Floribunda Bush Rose
The Floribunda rose is a modern group of garden roses that was developed by crossing the Hybrid Tea rose with the Polyantha rose. Floribunda means “flowers in abundance” and the aim was to create a rose that bloomed with the Polyantha profusion while also having the Hybrid Tea floral beauty and colour range.
Floribundas are very popular for their beautiful clusters of flowers, and their nearly continuous rebloom throughout the season. They make very colourful bedding displays and some of the more heavily petalled are good for cutting. The flowers are usually smaller than a Hybrid Tea and they range from low growing varieties (50cm) to those which reach more than 1m in height. Floribunda roses are well suited to form attractive borders and hedges.
