Standard roses
A standard rose is also known as a tree rose. Standard roses are a rose variety grafted onto tall rose stock (typically 80-90cm), producing a single-trunk plant with a ball of abundant blooms on the top – hence the tree similarity.
Rose standards can make a wonderful addition to the garden - they are a great way to create height and add colour as well as making superb centrepieces - giving a decorative rather formal effect.
